DAY 2 ARRIVE IN LONDON, ENGLAND
There is time to relax or begin exploring on your own after checking in to your hotel.

DAY 3 LONDON AT LEISURE
The full day is at leisure to explore London and her great sights. Perhaps visit a museum, browse through the shops or find a corner in a friendly pub and people watch. (B)

DAY 4 LONDON / AMSTERDAN, NETHERLANDS

This morning, cross the English Channel to Calais. Coach to lively Amsterdam with time to see Dam Square and the Mint Tower. This evening is free to discover Amsterdam’s nightlife. (B)

DAY 5 AMSTERDAM / RHINELAND, GERMANY

Travel into Germany and on to Cologne to see the magnificent gothic cathedral. Next, take a scenic Rhine cruise. Then continue to the hotel where, after dinner, your evening is free. (B,D)

DAY 6 RHINELAND / HEIDELBERG / LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND
First stop to see red-walled Heidelberg castle. Then on through the Black Forest to the Swiss border and Rhine Falls before continuing to lakeside Lucerne. (B,D)

DAY 7 LUCERNE ORIENTATION AND AT LEISURE
An orientation tour includes the Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge. Then there is time to take an optional mountain excursion for stunning views or to shop for Swiss watches and chocolate. (B,D)

DAY 8 LUCERNE / OBERAMMERGAU, GERMANY
This morning, drive to Oberammergau. Savor lunch, then take your seat for the remarkable Passion Play. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m., running until 5:00 p.m., breaks for dinner, then resumes at 8:00 p.m., ending about 10:30 p.m. (B,L,D)

DAY 9 OBERAMMERGAU / INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA / VENICE, ITALY
Drive via Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital, and Brenner Pass into Italy. Continue south to the magical city of Venice. (B,D)

DAY 10 VENICE ORIENTATION AND AT LEISURE
Glide by vaporetto to St. Marks Square to see the Bridge of Sighs and watch a glass-blowing demonstration. Then there is time to explore on your own. (B,D)

DAY 11 VENICE / ROME
Head south over the Veneto Plain, cross the Apennine Hills and reach the region of Lazio and the “Eternal City,” Rome. The rest of the day is free to start discovering the Italian capital on your own. (B)

DAY 12 ROME SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
A guided tour includes a visit to St. Peters Basilica and views of the Forum and the mighty Colosseum. The afternoon is at leisure to explore more on your own, shop, sample some gelato in a sidewalk café or simply relax. (B)

DAY 13 ROME / SORRENTO
Pass the Abbey of Monte Cassino en route to the Bay of Naples. You might want to take an optional excursion to the Isle of Capri before reaching the hotel.(B,D)

DAY 14 SORRENTO / FLORENCE

Don’t miss the opportunity to take an optional excursion to the excavations at Pompeii! Later, drive north through Tuscany to Renaissance Florence. (B,D)

DAY 15 FLORENCE / PISA / NICE, FRANCE
Enjoy stunning views of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo before free time to explore on your own. Later, drive to Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles. Then follow the coastline to France and the fashionable city of Nice, capital of the Cote d’Azur. (B)

DAY 16 NICE ORIENTATION AND MONTE CARLO
An orientation tour shows you the Promenade des Anglais and the Place Massena. Next, visit Monaco where you will see the famous casino of Monte Carlo. Returning to Nice, your evening is free. (B)

DAY 17 NICE / CANNES / LYON

First to Cannes to see the Film Festival Theatre. Then drive through Provence to the papal city of Avignon. From here, follow the Rhone valley to the important university city of Lyon. (B,D)

DAY 18 LYON / PARIS
Drive through the wine-producing region of Burgundy and past the Forest of Fontainebleau. Arriving in the romantic and glittering city of Paris, the rest of the afternoon and evening are at leisure. (B)

DAY 19 PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE

A morning tour features views of the Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Then you have time to explore on your own, visit a museum or gallery, shop or relax and people watch in a café or restaurant. (B)

DAY 20 DEPART PARIS
Bid farewell to your Tour Director as your tour comes to an end. A transfer to Charles De Gaulle Airport is provided, conditions apply. (B)
