DAY 2 ARRIVE IN LONDON, ENGLAND
After checking in at your hotel, there is time to relax and unwind. You may want to begin exploring this exciting city on your own.

DAY 3 LONDON SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
See many of the major city sights on a morning tour. The balance of the day free to discover more of London on your own, visit a museum, shop at worldfamous Harrods or simply relax over a pint in a friendly neighborhood pub. (B)

DAY 4 LONDON / AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

Meet your Tour Director and coach to Dover. Cross the English Channel by ferry, then drive through Belgium to Amsterdam. See Dam Square and the Mint Tower, then take a canal cruise to see more of this beautiful city. Then join your Tour Director and fellow traveling companions for a Welcome Drink. (B)

DAY 5 AMSTERDAM / COLOGNE, GERMANY / RHINE CRUISE / RHINELAND
Travel from the Netherlands into Germany. Stop first in Cologne to see the gothic cathedral. Then embark on a scenic Rhine cruise, viewing terraced vineyards and little riverside towns. Afterward, continue to your Rhineland hotel. (B,D)

DAY 6 RHINELAND / HEIDELBERG / STRASBOURG, FRANCE / ENGELBERG, SWITZERLAND

This morning, travel to Heidelberg to view the red-walled castle. Then on to Strasbourg, just across the border in France. Continue into Switzerland and the picturesque town of Engelberg. (B,D)

DAY 7 LUCERNE EXCURSION

Head to beautiful lakeside Lucerne. See the Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge on an orientation tour. Afterwards, there is free time in Lucerne before returning to Engelberg. (B,D)

DAY 8 ENGELBERG / LIECHTENSTEIN / INSSBRUCK, AUSTRIA / OBERAMMERGAU, GERMANY

Stop in tiny Liechtenstein, then on to Innsbruck. Here, your Tour Director will reveal a hidden treasure q. End the day in Oberammergau. (B,D)

DAY 9 OBERAMMERGAU
This morning there is time at leisure. After lunch, take your seat for the stirring Passion Play. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m., running until 5:00 p.m., breaks for dinner, then resumes at 8:00 p.m., ending about 10:30 p.m. (B,L,D)

DAY 10 OBERAMMERGAU / VENICE, ITALY
Follow the Brenner Pass into Italy, then travel on to Venice. A private launch takes you to St. Mark’s Square, viewing the Bridge of Sighs, then watch a fascinating glassblowing demonstration. (B,D)

DAY 11 VENICE / ROME
Head south out of Venice, crossing the Apennine Hills en route to Rome, the “Eternal City.” Your evening here is free to begin exploring on your own, and to sample some of the fine Italian wines and superb cuisine the city has to offer. (B)

DAY 12 ROME SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
A guided tour includes a visit to venerable St. Peter’s Basilica and views of the Forum and the mighty Colosseum. The balance of the day is free to discover more of Rome at your own pace, shop, or perhaps toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, to “guarantee” you will return one day. (B)

DAY 13 ROME / ISLE OF CAPRI / SORRENTO
Drive south to Naples and cruise to the beautiful isle of Capri. Enjoy a guided walking tour and free time before taking the ferry to Sorrento. Your evening here is at leisure. (B)

DAY 14 SORRENTO / POMPEII / ASSISI

A walking tour of the Pompeii excavations shows you the remains of the town forever preserved in the ashes of Mt. Vesuvius. Then drive north, passing Monte Cassino with its famous Abbey, into the Umbrian region and on to beautiful Assisi. (B,D)

DAY 15 ASSISI / FLORENCE
See the highlights of Assisi, best known for its associations with Saint Francis. Then drive to lovely Renaissance Florence, where a guided walking tour features the Duomo, Piazza Signoria and more. Your afternoon and evening are free. (B)

DAY 16 FLORENCE / PISA / NICE, FRANCE

Travel to Pisa and see the Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles. Then follow the coastline north to the Principality of Monaco. Stop in Monte Carlo to see one of the famous casinos before driving to Nice on the elegant Cote d’Azur. (B,D)

DAY 17 NICE / COTE DAZUR EXCURSION

See the Film Festival Theatre in Cannes, then on to hilltop St. Paul de Vence. In this historic village, your Tour Director will share a hidden treasure q. Returning to Nice, stop for a visit to a perfumery. The rest of the day is free. (B)

DAY 18 NICE / AVIGNON / LYON
Travel to Avignon and admire the “broken” bridge. Then on to Lyon, founded by the Roman Empire. An orientation drive shows you the main sights. (B,D)

DAY 19 LYON / BEAUNE / PARIS
Follow the Rhone Valley en route to Beaune. Continue on through the wineproducing region of Burgundy to lively Paris. Your evening is free to spend as you please. Perhaps take in a dazzling cabaret show, enjoy a romantic dinner or join in the exciting nightlife. (B)

DAY 20 PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE

A guided tour features the Place de la Concorde, the Eiffel Tower and more. Your afternoon is at leisure for last minute shopping, perhaps a visit to a museum or gallery, or just relax and people watch in a café. This evening, enjoy a festive Farewell Dinner with newfound friends. (B,D)

DAY 21 DEPART PARIS
‘Au revoir’ to Paris and your Tour Director as your tour comes to an end. (B)
