DAY 1 DEPART USA
Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
DAY 2 ARRIVE IN LONDON, ENGLAND
After checking in at your hotel, there is time at leisure to relax and unwind or begin exploring the lively British capital on your own.
DAY 3 LONDON SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
See many of the major sights of London on a morning sightseeing tour. The rest of the day is free to explore more on your own, visit a museum or gallery or relax in a corner pub. (B)
DAY 4 LONDON / BRUGES, BELGIUM / BRUSSELS
Meet your Tour Director this morning, then drive to Dover to board the ferry bound for Calais in France. Then drive to Bruges, one of Europe’s best preserved medieval towns. Continue to Brussels, where an orientation tour includes the Atomium, the Royal Palaces and a walk to see the Manneken Pis. Plus, a hidden treasure is revealed. Later, enjoy a Welcome Drink. (B)
DAY 5 BRUSSELS / COLOGNE, GERMANY / RHINE CRUISE / HEIDELBELG
Your first stop today is in Cologne to see the twin towered gothic cathedral. Continue to Boppard to take a scenic Rhine cruise. Finally, visit Heidelberg, where you will walk through the castle courtyards and enjoy views over the picturesque city. (B,D)
DAY 6 HEIDELBELG / OBERAMMERGAU
This morning, drive to Oberammergau. Enjoy lunch then take your seat for the remarkable Passion Play. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m., running until 5:00 p.m., breaks for dinner, then resumes at 8:00 p.m., ending about 10:30 p.m. (B,L,D)
DAY 7 OBERAMMERGAU / SALZBURG, AUSTRIA / VIENNA
Drive to the charming city of Salzburg where a guided walking tour highlights Mozart’s birthplace and the cathedral square. Later, continue to the Austrian capital, Vienna, called the “City of Music.” (B)
DAY 8 VIENNA SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
A guided tour features the Opera House and the Parliament and also includes a walking tour of the oldest part of the city. Your Tour Director will share another hidden treasure, then your afternoon is free. Perhaps visit the Prater Park or enjoy a concert of Strauss music (both own expense)? (B)
DAY 9 VIENNA / VENICE, ITALY
Journey past forested mountains to the Austrian Lake District and the border with Italy. Then the Carnian Alps give way to the plains of Northern Italy as you continue to the wonderful floating city of Venice. (B,D)
DAY 10 VENICE SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
Savor the sights and sounds of this Byzantine city on a canal cruise to St. Mark’s Square. View the Bridge of Sighs, then visit a traditional glassblowing factory before time at leisure. You might want to take an optional trip to the island of Burano for a fresh seafood lunch, shop or visit a museum. (B,D)
DAY 11 VENICE / VERONA / MILAN
Cross the Veneto plains, stopping in Shakespeare’s Verona before continuing through Lombardy to fashionable Milan. Here, a walking tour includes the gothic cathedral, La Scala Opera House and the covered Galleria. (B,D)
DAY 12 MILAN / LUGANO / LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND
A scenic drive takes you via Lake Lugano and along the St. Gotthard route into Switzerland and on to lakeside Lucerne. An orientation tour of this charming city includes the Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge. (B,D)
DAY 13 LUCERNE / PARIS, FRANCE
A scenic day as you drive through France. Cross the border from Switzerland and journey through wine-producing Burgundy with views of the ancient vineyards at Savigny–Les–Beaune. Continue to lively Paris, the French capital, where your evening is free. (B)
DAY 14 PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
On a guided morning tour, see the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Plus enjoy a splendid view of the city from the second level of the Eiffel Tower. There is time for some last minute shopping before gathering this evening for a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Director and newfound friends. (B,D)

Say ‘au revoir’ to Paris, your Tour Director and fellow travelers, as your tour comes to an end. (B)
