DAY 1 DEPART USA

DAY 2 ARRIVE IN FRANKFURT, GERMANY
Welcome to Germany! This afternoon, enjoy a Frankfurt orientation tour. Later get to know your Tour Director and traveling companions over a Welcome Drink.

DAY 3 FRANKFURT / ROTHENBURG / OBERAMMERGAU
Follow the Romantic Road to charming Rothenburg, where your Tour Director reveals a hidden treasure. Then on to Oberammergau, where your evening is at leisure. (B,D)

DAY 4 OBERAMMERGAU
After a free morning, take your seat for the moving Passion Play. The performance starts at 2:30 p.m., running until 5:00 p.m., breaks for dinner, then resumes at 8:00 p.m., ending about 10:30 p.m. (B,L,D)

DAY 5 OBERAMMERGAU / SALZBURG, AUSTRIA / VIENNA
Drive to the charming city of Salzburg where a guided walking tour highlights Mozart’s birthplace and the cathedral square. Then on to Vienna, the charming “City of Music.” (B)

DAY 6 VIENNA SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
A guided tour features views of the Opera House and the Parliament and also includes a walking tour of the oldest part of the city. Plus, another hidden treasure is revealed. (B)

DAY 7 VIENNA / BERCHTESGADEN / INNSBRUCK
Drive westwards across Austria to Bavaria and Alpine Berchtesgaden. Then a scenic drive brings you to the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. (B,D)

DAY 8 INNSBRUCK / ST. MORITZ, SWITZERLAND
Magnificent scenery as you drive into Switzerland and follow the Engadine Valley to St. Moritz. (B,D)

DAY 9 St. MORITZ / ZERMATT
Today, cross into Italy and stop in the pretty resort of Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Then over Simplon Pass back to Switzerland to Tasch. Take electric minibuses up to your hotel in the charming mountain resort of Zermatt. (B,D)

DAY 10 ZERMATT AT LEISURE
A full day to enjoy this traffic-free resort overlooked by the iconic Matterhorn. (B)

DAY 11 ZERMATT / GENEVA
Follow the Rhone Valley to France, viewing spectacular Mont Blanc. Then, back into Switzerland and on to the international city of Geneva. (B)

DAY 12 GENEVA / INTERLAKEN / ENGELBERG
Drive via Berne to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland with the chance of views of mighty Jungfrau. Then, drive over the Brunig Pass to central Switzerland and the resort town of Engelberg. (B,D)

DAY 13 LUCERNE EXCURSION
See the poignant Lion Monument and the covered Chapel Bridge, then maybe take a thrilling mountain excursion for stunning alpine views or shop for Swiss watches and chocolate in the old town. (B,D)

DAY 14 ENGELBERG / RHINE FALLS / BLACK FOREST, GERMANY
See mighty Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen before crossing the border into Germany. Drive by the forested hills of the Black Forest and Lake Titisee to your hotel.(B,D)

DAY 15 BLACK FOREST / HEIDELBERG / FRANKFURT
Drive through Baden-Baden and on to Heidelberg for a walk through the castle courtyards. Then take a scenic Rhine cruise, passing the Lorelei Rock, ancient castles and terraced vineyards, before returning to Frankfurt. Tonight savor a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travellers. (B,D)

DAY 16 DEPART FRANKFURT
This morning, bid farewell to newfound friends as your vacation comes to an end. Airport transfers are available, conditions apply. (B)
