Day 1 - Depart USA
Overnight flight from USA.

Day 2 - Arrive Rome (2 nights)

Welcome to Rome, the Eternal City. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the day is free to relax and unwind. Later, meet up with your Tour Director and the rest of your group to perhaps visit the city by night.

Day 3 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure
This morning, you may wish to join an optional excursion to visit Michelangelo's most impressive work – the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Later, our included sightseeing tour with a local city expert will visit the Vatican City and the awe-inspiring Basilica of St. Peter where we will see the famous Pieta. Then on to ancient Rome to see the Forum and the Colosseum where Christians were fed to the lions! The rest of the day is at leisure – perhaps discover the catacombs and the medieval city walls or the Pantheon (reminiscent of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons) and Piazza Navona. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 4 - Rome – Florence
We drive through the rolling hills of Umbria to the beautiful region of Tuscany and the Renaissance city of Florence. From Piazzale Michelangelo we enjoy spectacular views of the city, and we have time on our own to visit Piazza Signoria, the Duomo and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Then we are free to shop for high quality leather goods and 18-carat gold jewellery before continuing to our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5 - Florence – Venice (Marghera)
Today we cross the Apennines and make our way to magical Venice. We have time to really enjoy our first views of Venice as we take a canal cruise by vaporetto to St. Mark’s Square where we see the Bridge of Sighs and the magnificent Basilica of St. Mark. Then we visit a glass-blowing workshop where we learn about the craftsmanship of this traditional art. There is time at leisure to explore before driving to our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6 - Venice (Marghera) – Vienna (2 nights)
This morning we travel into the Carnian Alps and cross the Austrian border. From here we enjoy a scenic drive to the Carinthian Lake District and the Alpine Highway. Next the Vienna Woods give way to the Danube Plains and imperial Vienna. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 7 - Vienna sightseeing & at leisure
Our morning guided sightseeing tour shows us the splendours of this city including the Opera House, the Parliament, the Hofburg and the City Hall. Later, there is time at leisure. How about an excursion to visit the vast Schönbrunn Palace, summer residence of the Habsburg ruling family? (Buffet breakfast)

Day 8 - Vienna – Salzburg – Oberammergau (2 nights)
First to Salzburg where orientation includes the Mirabell Palace gardens and views of the castle
before heading for Oberammergau. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 - Oberammergau

We take our seats for the Passion Play. (Buffet breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 10 - Oberammergau – Innsbruck – Lucerne
We drive via Innsbruck , the capital of the Tyrol, and Vaduz, the capital of tiny Liechtenstein, to central Switzerland and lakeside Lucerne. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 11 - Lake Lucerne – Paris (2 nights)
After breakfast we travel through Basel on the Rhine to France where we skirt the Vosges mountains on our way into the wine region of Burgundy. We pass charming French villages, castles and acres of vineyards as we travel to the French capital - the elegant and exciting city of Paris! (Buffet breakfast)

Day 12 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure

Views of the Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral all feature on our tour. Then time is your own to stroll along the banks of the Seine or perhaps visit Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur. Tonight, why not sample this city’s legendary nightlife at a traditional French cabaret? (Buffet breakfast)

Day 13 - Paris – London (2 nights)

We travel across the battlefields of the Somme to the port of Calais where we board our ferry to cross the Channel to Dover. Here we board our coach to take the short drive to London where our tour comes to an end. (Buffet breakfast)

Today is at leisure to explore this city. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 15 - London – USA

Bid farewell on your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
